1. Who We Are
Statistico™ is provided by Metrics Institute ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy applies to the Statistico™ Office Add-in for Excel, the Statistico™ website, and related web services (collectively, the "Service").

- Usage and diagnostic data: add-in version, feature usage, and error/crash information used to maintain and improve the Service.
- Microsoft 365 context: limited information provided by the Office.js runtime (such as host application and locale) required for the add-in to function inside Excel.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used on our website for essential functionality and basic, privacy-respecting analytics.

We do not sell your personal information. Worksheet data you analyze is used solely to produce the results you requested and is not used to train third-party AI models without your consent.
4. AI-Assisted Features
Some features may use AI-assisted processing to help interpret or summarize statistical output. Where this involves sending data to a third-party AI provider, only the minimum data necessary to generate the requested interpretation is transmitted, and it is not retained by us beyond what is required to return the result to you.
5. Data Storage and Retention
Data is retained only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Worksheet data processed for an analysis is not permanently stored unless you explicitly save or export results.
6. Data Sharing

- With service providers who help us operate the Service (e.g., hosting, payment processing, analytics), under confidentiality obligations.
- Microsoft, where required for distribution and licensing through Microsoft AppSource and Microsoft 365.

8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
